Children meet pictures, voices and answers that look convincing but are not always true. The activity ideas in this guide encourage them to pause, check and make a safer choice before believing or sharing something. There is no chat with strangers, and no chatbot to talk to.

Questions that reward a careful pause
- Voice check: A voice message sounds exactly like someone you know, asking for something unusual. What is a sensible next step?
- Confident answers: A chatbot gives a confident, detailed answer to a question. Why might it still be wrong?
- Spot the edit: A photo of a “giant animal” looks amazing online. Which detail would help you tell if it has been edited?

Find the Hidden Rule
Children aged roughly 9–10 work out the rule behind three input-output pairs, fill two missing cells, and explain how they tested the rule — the same kind of careful checking AI awareness asks for. One A4 page, black and white, with no sign-in.
